Premier Division Bulmer's Cider Kent League Tuesday 9th February 2010
HATRICK FOR WEIR Sevenoaks Town 1 Beckenham Town 4
A second half hatrick by in form striker Tony Weir gave Becks all three points in Tuesday's Kent League game at Sevenoaks Town.
After Saturday's ill disciplined performance at Herne Bay Becks boss Jason Huntley find comfort in the fact that he had had the rare luxury of finishing a match with all 11 players still on the field.
Becks got off to the worse possible start after ex-Beckenham man Tony Adkins headed the home side into the lead after three minutes.
To their credit Becks recovered quickly from the early set back and both Danny Lawson and Gary Gorman went close before Curren hit the cross bar with a thunderous 25 yard strike. Whilst Becks had the possession they had to wait until the 56th minute when the lively Weir beat the off side trap twice in quick succession to turn the game in Becks favour.
With Durrand Jemmott causing constance problems for the overworked home defence it was no surprise when he crossed for Weir to complete an accomplished treble strike. Becks completed their evening's work with new boy Perry Bellchamber coming on as sub to volley home Jemmott's cross from six yards.
